A Tribute to Bessie
The Blues lecture is open at 2:30 p.m. in the Bessie Smith Hall. Please use the entrance facing East 10th Street. M.L King Boulevard will be closed between Houston and Lindsay Street.
Festival Hours
Festival gates located on M.L. King Boulevard at Houston or Lindsay Street will open at 3:30 p.m. and the event ends at midnight.
Food and Drink
Vendors will be offering "Soul Food" and other ethnic cuisine.
Alcoholic Beverages
Beer wristbands are required for all alcoholic beverage consumption. A valid driver's license verifying 21 years of age or older must be shown to acquire a wristband.
What Not to Bring
Backpacks, coolers, ice chests, lawn chairs, skate boards, pets and outside food or beverages are not permitted. Please do not bring weapons of any kind.
Directions
From I-24 take Hwy 27 north towards downtown Chattanooga. Exit at #1-A onto Martin Luther King Boulevard east. The grounds of The Bessie Smith Hall and The Chattanooga African American Museum are six blocks down on the right.
